"Where Bailey Go??"

Little Picasso

We had yet another day staying in. I had a paper/test due today, that got pushed back until Monday. Of course I wasn't informed until this afternoon. I also have a speech on Friday, so I prepared some for that today and will do the same tomorrow.

I gave Bailey some strawberry applesauce to eat for lunch, then went into the living room to clean up her toys. I'm doing this about five minutes and come back to this. She has decided it would be more fun to paint her cup and the table with her applesauce rather than eat it. It was hilarious! I just sat there and watched her, took pictures, and cheered her on. No use getting onto her at this point.

She thought it was hilarious, until she got thrown in the bath tub. She didn't laugh so much then..

Oh my child...

It amazes me how she can drive me so crazy and make me laugh so hard in the same day. She has been teething all week. So, she has been waking up through the night. She has been extremely cranky and clingy and needy and 10 times more dramatic than usual. I have heard "mooommmyyy" 50 billion times today. If I walk into another room, she freaks out. She wants to be with me all the time, but she also has to have her 50 babies sitting with her in my lap. She has just whined allllll day long!

So she finally went to bed a little while ago and I start doing my school work. She wakes up 10 minutes later and comes in to sit with me. She is sitting in my lap while I'm typing (a little difficult). But she is asleep, or so I thought. I'm listening to some music softly ~from August Rush and the little turkey starts dancing to it! While her eyes are closed and she's breathing heavily...she just can't resist sitting still when there's music on. She can really crack me up!

I also wanted to post another update on Elmo...
*On Thursday Olivia brought her own little elmo over. Bailey ended up carrying him around all morning. Luckily, Olivia didn't care. I did hide elmo in Olivia's bag so Bailey couldn't hide him.

*She has been calling for elmo every day and I tell her that he's sleeping. This afternoon she whispered to me "shh! elmo's sleeping".

I think I am going to make a "bed" for elmo. That way she can play with him and then put him to bed and let him sleep. We'll try it and see how it goes. I just feel like such a meanie for taking him away.

My little Mommy

My sweet little princess takes such good care of her babies. She has a million of them, but this one is the only actual baby. She loves to give her baby a bottle of "milk". Her baby loves milk! At least according to Bailey.

This gives me hope that she'll actually love Austin and take care of him.

The girls had a blast today as usual. They ran around and destroyed the house. I usually make them clean up before going on to something new, but I had a monster headache today.

They really do love each other!

Faith climbed in the dollhouse, sitting in it, but she climbed out before I could grab my camera. You can't really tell, but Bailey's running at her laughing (and squealing..)

We told Bailey to give Faith a hug and she acted like it was torturing her.

Splish Splash!

This past Saturday we went to SportsCom to go swimming. We lasted a couple hours. Bailey was a little unsure at first but then warmed up to it. She had a blast! She passed out in the car before we were able to pull out of the parking lot.

As you can see, Bubby had to come swimming with us. She would drop him and her floaty ring and say "oh no!" Then she would "swim" over to rescue them. She did this forever!

Update on Elmo

She's doing fine without him! She called for him last night, but I told her that he went "night night". I've been very careful to not say the e-word. Olivia had an elmo cup today and was trying to tell and Bailey about it. I had to distract her very quickly. So far so good!

Mean Mommy

I'm glad Bailey doesn't know how to say that yet. She may figure it out today though. This is what I did...

That is elmo and carebear (both known as Elmo to her) in the spare closet. I hid them while she's napping. She has gotten ridiculously attached to them. Last night I was getting her ready for her bath. She pitched a fit b/c I made her put them down to undress her. Then I had to close her bedroom door with them in there so she couldn't take them in the bathtub. I got her bath water ready and she stood stark naked, banging on her door, and screaming for elmo. She won't eat, sleep, or play without them. They're nearly as big as her and she carries them throughout the house. She's actually started holding their hands and dragging them around saying "let's go". She's adorable with them, but we've had enough of the screaming for elmo. We'll see how long it takes before she notices. We may end up having to get them back out. Who knows...

A little update

Bailey is doing VERY well in her big girl bed. At first we had to get her to sleep before we could put her in her bed. I got very tired of that and toughened up. So then I put her in bed awake and sat there with her until she fell asleep. She cried of course, but it only took a few nights, about 20 minutes each time, before she was asleep. Now, when it's bed time she climbs in there with her blankie (daggie), Pooh, pabi, and sometimes cup. I sit with her for a couple of minutes and help her wind down. Then I kiss her goodnight, leave, and shut the door (she has her Pooh lamp on). She cries for maybe 10 seconds, then goes to sleep. Now we've only made it 1 full night in the bed. She wakes up in the middle of the night and comes to our bed. It's never at the same time, so I don't know if she's having a weird dream or what.

Grandmother got her a little giraffe today at lunch. First she called it "doggy", now it's become "bubby". She REFUSED to get in the bath tub without him tonight. So he got a bath too...She taught him how to swim, washed him, and then used him as a washrag. At least she had a fun bath.

So, I'm back

Still not done with all of my school work, but I'm a last minute kinda gal. I got my paper done. On Monday I got an email from my professor giving us complete free reign over our paper, so I wrote 6 pages instead of 10. Still have to work on my speech. I'm entertaining a few topics, but having a tough time picking which one I want to go with. Oh well. I seem to do my best work when I have the least time.

We decided to take a break and go to Playgroup at the pool today. Bailey was so excited to go swimming. She got all decked out in her swim gear. Of course it took her 30 minutes to even get her in the water. Then she had a blast, but it was so close to nap time. Next time we'll go earlier and I'll be better prepared.

Bye-bye picky eater!

for now at least...Our little princess went from eating peanut butter crackers, cereal bars, and fruit snacks to now eating mommy's salads (which means lettuce, cucumber, tomato, boiled eggs, ham, ranch and creamy italian dressing) spaghetti, apples, grapes, salami, eggs, and more!

She's chowin' down on sloppy joes and mac n' cheese tonight! She's had about 4 helpings of the sloppy joes already.

Other than that we've been playing. I caught a few pictures of Bailey and Faith this past week. Faith was pushing the stroller around the house and Bailey was chasing her w/ her duck, purse, and snow bear. They have been having so much fun with each other!

She has been glued to Daddy this weekend. She goes wherever he goes. Daddy turned her bib around so that she could have a cape like Superman!

The Dr's visit went really well. I have my official ultrasound on Aug 5. Well I probably (shouldn't) won't update until this next weekend. I have a 10 page self-reflection paper due on Tuesday, which means 10 pages of me rambling about how to have a better life...yea I'm super excited! ;) I also have a 6-8 minute speech on Friday and have not picked my topic yet. So my week will be devoted to school. Just 6 more months and it will be alll over!
