Halleluiah!!

I know what you're thinking. Why in the world do I have yet ANOTHER sleeping picture? Well folks, this isn't just any sleeping picture. This is a "she laid down in her bed and fell asleep for the night on her own" picture. Which means YAYYYY!!!! She was not wanting to go to sleep and keeping Daddy awake, so I picked her up along with all of her "stuff", laid her down, turned on the lamp and told her she was going to sleep there. And she did. I know, it doesn't sound like Bailey at all, right?

This morning I just went on and on about what a big girl she was and how I was soooo proud of her. She said that it was fun and she was going to do it again tonight. Now whether or not that really happens, we'll have to wait and see. She also told me she was going to use the potty. A year ago.

Not much changes

Itty bitty newborn with lots of hair

His favorite place to sleep is still Mommy's chest
And yes, I'm wearing the same shirt. :)

Cannonsburgh

This past Friday we went to playgroup at Cannonsburgh. I have lived in M'boro my entire life and never been there and looked around. Sad, right?! Well it's a recreation of historic southern living~which I am ALL about. I love reading about it and wishing I lived back then, just with all the modern ammenities like bathrooms, cars, and internet. All the important things. Anyway...

Bailey and I explored a little. She was an absolute angel and had a blast! Austin was also an angel and rode in his stroller and took a little nap. So now on to pictures:

We don't really have catepillars in our yard but this place was crawling with them. And Bailey loved it! It's hard to tell but there's a little bitty catepillar on the concrete and she had just touched him.

She was such a good girl and posed for me. She kept giving me goofy smiles though.

I was so excited about this old carriage and being able to put her up there and get her picture. Bailey obviously didn't feel the same way.

There were little houses that were set up with furniture and everything. There were even baby dolls in a couple of them. Sooo, Bailey decided that we needed to go on a hunt for more baby dolls. She kept saying "Come on mommy, lets go find more babies!!"

Our little man, being such a good boy!

We had to fit in a game of peek-a-boo.

Bailey helped build this little catepillar habitat with a couple older little boys. She was all about putting rocks in there. Then when the boys decided to go play in the water, she took over~she grabbed those catepillars and rolled them around. I was completely surprised!

Bath time!

Austin still LOVES his bath time! Yay!!! Bailey..not so much. Well we all know I love to compare pictures of the two of them, so I have a picture of Austin from today (4 mos) and a picture of Bailey when she was about 4 mos.

And now back to Austin. Isn't he adorable??

I had to get one of these tush shots. I have a few of Bailey, one in particular I was looking for, but couldn't find it.

Bailey said I had to get a pic of her. With her "back" (basket). The Easter basket has gone everywhere with us this week. She even fell asleep with her head in the basket when we were in the car. And yes she has pabi in her mouth, but starting tomorrow we're saying bye bye. Cold turkey. Go ahead and call me mean, I know I am. I am just so SICK of that dang pabi. We're making a few changes around here, which she is definitely not happy about, but will make for a better outcome in the end. I am going to hide the pabi and not just throw it away just yet. In case I decide to cave I don't want to have to run out to the store in the middle of the night. So hopefully this picture can be called a goodbye tribute to pabi!

Easter Sunday

We spent Easter Sunday hanging out with family. After church we went to Nana and Papa's to celebrate Jared's birthday (his 22nd), then to Grandmother and Pappaw's, then back to Nana and Papa's for an egg hunt with David. That night Grant had to leave for Florida but we were so happy we got to have all day Sunday with him.

We did Easter baskets at home before church. Austin wasn't really too concerned with his but what do you expect. He got some rice cereal that he'll get to try out sometime soon.

Bailey was a little happier with hers. She got an elmo bubble kit, elmo coloring book, fruit snacks and "pops" (suckers).

Austin all dressed up and ready to go to church

Bailey's Easter basket at Nana's. They ended up getting the same bubble kit, only Pooh :)

Austin with his

Bailey and her favorite person in the whole, wide world. She's been asking for him non-stop. When I tell her he's in Florida at work, she says "let's go get him".

We like silly pictures

The egg hunt was fun for Bailey. But she would not get any eggs that she had to walk through dirt for.

Austin participated too of course

She got a pack of sunglasses that she was very excited about

Bailey's favorite things to play with, the windchimes

And we want to wish a HAPPY BIRTHDAY to Uncle Jared or "Jed" as Bailey likes to call him. He'll be 22 tomorrow!

Taking Cover

Thankfully we decided to lay low and have a lazy, pj day. So when bad weather hit we were in the comfort of our own home. Well it's not like Austin's little closet is comfortable but it's a whole lot better than a public bathroom. We were in there for about an hour. Bailey cried and cried to watch a movie and go night night (it was her nap time). I had to explain that the "loud" (thunder) was a bad storm and we had to stay put. She still cried. And Austin had been woken up in the move from the couch to the closet so he was cranky and tired. Thankfully they fell asleep before long.

Oh yea, we had no damage. It really wasn't even too bad of a storm out here, but there were tornados nearby. Nana and Papa's neighborhood had some bad damage, luckily it was the other side. We're hoping Grandmother and Pappaw's neighborhood is ok too.

Sweet Bailey

really does take after her mommy. I saw that her room door was shut so I peeked in and caught her. She had Austin's pabi in her mouth and she was sitting there just sucking away. She knew she wasn't supposed to have it too, b/c she popped it right out and handed it over.

I used to steal Jared and Allie's pabis. Hopefully she'll stop there, b/c I also stole their diapers (clean ones). I wasn't too fond of the potty (ahem, Bailey).

Ahh Sleep

I miss sleep. I truly do. I miss sleeping all night long, heck I miss sleeping more than 2-3 hrs (if I'm lucky) in a row. They always tell you that parenting will mean less sleep, but you really have no idea just how little sleep that is until it happens.

This little guy hates to sleep alone. Sometimes he'll get into a deep sleep and be out for a few hours (always early evening). No matter how hard I try, I just can't go to sleep when he does around 7. We were at a point where he woke up twice a night, but lately I'll get him to sleep and he'll cry as soon as I put him down. Or he'll wake up around 2-3 in the morning and want to stay up for an hour. That's what happened last night. He woke up around 2:30 and stayed up an hour. I had to hold him in order to get some sleep.

And this little girl woke up around 4 this morning and just now went down for a nap. She was cranky! She likes to stay up late and wake up early, but we're going to try to reprogram her. She was never a good sleeper as a baby either. Once she got older, we got to be good napping pals. I would lay down with her for just an hour and we would wake up 5 hours later. I miss that!

Well they're sleeping now, so I get to do my stuff. Not sleep, but fold laundry and clean while I watch America's Next Top Model reruns. And when they wake up, I'll get to run the vaccuum. :)

Dress-up and photo shoots

Bailey hasn't quite caught the concept of dress-up but she still had fun.
She has a lot of princess dresses but didn't want to put them on, just hold them up.

And of course poor Austin had to take a turn, just part of being a little brother :)

Her favorite outfit

This was our photo shoot. She threw herself down and started giving me faces. This is obviously happy

This was scared

And sad

And this was "fierce" ha! She's smiling with her eyes like we learned on "America's Next Top Model". :)

In the spirit of dress-up, I decided to dress Austin up in his daddy's outfits from when he was a baby and do a photo shoot. Now keep in mind, I am not a professional...no where near! And Austin has gotten to be a big boy! So the outfits are a little snug.
And also, ignore his poor little face. His excema has flared up. Luckily we're going to the Dr. tomorrow.

And a picture with his daddy's blanket. Once again, just ignore his pitiful skin. It breaks my heart when he breaks out like that.
