My poor baby :(

Bailey fell in the kitchen and busted her lip. So what did she have to say about it?

"I sorry I got paint (blood) on your clothes Mommy"

Austin Grant Todd's 6 month photo shoot

Our little Austin is 6 months old! Well he has been for a couple of weeks, but we're slow moving these days.

Let's see, he is 13 lbs, 8 oz and 24.5 in. He's a teeny little thing :)

He can't sleep more than 5 hours at a time just yet, and he really likes to sleep on mommy's chest.

He loves his exersaucer and his sissy. Oh how he loves his big sissy! He lights up whenever she comes around.

He's trying to crawl, but not yet going anywhere.

He's still not too sure about food, but is now eating green beans (which he hates), sweet peas, and squash.

He's our handsome boy and we just love him to pieces!

A picture of his "backwards crawl". He can really go far with this.

And today he had his first official/unofficial haircut!! *Unofficial b/c Mommy and Daddy forgot to keep his lock of hair. Oops.
Before

And After!

Yes we cut off his curl, but it's short enough to spike up in a better mohawk!

Say hello to my early birthday present from Nana! It is a movement and sound monitor. In other words, it slides under Austin's mattress and monitors his breathing. If there is no movement for 20 seconds an alarm goes off. And you better believe I tested this thing like crazy. He can now sleep on his tummy, which is a big No-No these days in relation with SIDS. I'm still a bit nervous, but I have seen that the monitor does work. So hopefully I will be sleeping much better these days. Much of my insomnia was due to my fear of SIDS. If I was awake and watching Austin breathe, then I would be able to know if he stopped. So I've missed a lot of sleep, partly because of this.

Monkey see Monkey Do

This post is inspired by this Mama 's own post about her "little mommy". I love to read her blog.

Anyway, we found Bailey doing this:

She was changing her kitty cat so of course she had to use powder. There was powder everywhere!

She has also been copying our sayings. Just yesterday in the car she told daddy: "Da-ee, I need you to be quiet, I talk to mommy. Da-ee, I need you to be quiet, Baby's sleeping. Da-ee, do you see baby? Baby aseep! I need you to be quiet." She's obviously heard this many times. :) What can I say? She's a loud 2 year old and constantly waking her brother up.

That's just a little bit of it. She gets ready with me by cleaning her face, brushing her teeth, putting on lotion, and putting on her make-up. She'll take a towel and dust the house. She'll get her vacuum and clean the floors for me. It's too cute to watch and see just what she tries to do.

4 years ago I became Mrs. Grant Todd!

Happy Anniversary to my sweet, sweet hubby! He's an awesome hubby, daddy, and friend. I am so thankful that God brought him into my life. I knew we would get married when we first met over 6 years ago. Seriously! I knew he was the last guy I would date. It's fun to think back to that time, mainly b/c I was younger, skinnier, and had few responsibilities. But I am so thankful for where we are today and do know just how blessed we are. So Thank you Grant, for being the best husband I could have asked for! :)
