Bailey is doing VERY well in her big girl bed. At first we had to get her to sleep before we could put her in her bed. I got very tired of that and toughened up. So then I put her in bed awake and sat there with her until she fell asleep. She cried of course, but it only took a few nights, about 20 minutes each time, before she was asleep. Now, when it's bed time she climbs in there with her blankie (daggie), Pooh, pabi, and sometimes cup. I sit with her for a couple of minutes and help her wind down. Then I kiss her goodnight, leave, and shut the door (she has her Pooh lamp on). She cries for maybe 10 seconds, then goes to sleep. Now we've only made it 1 full night in the bed. She wakes up in the middle of the night and comes to our bed. It's never at the same time, so I don't know if she's having a weird dream or what.
Grandmother got her a little giraffe today at lunch. First she called it "doggy", now it's become "bubby". She REFUSED to get in the bath tub without him tonight. So he got a bath too...She taught him how to swim, washed him, and then used him as a washrag. At least she had a fun bath.

Oh my goodness! Reading that story brought back memories of the "new big beds." Jada did pretty good when she moved into her big girl bed but Skyler did not want any part of it. That is really good that Bailey already stays in bed!!! I bet you are so glad about that.

I can not imagine how tough it is to get those little ones in the bed from the crib!! Sounds like ya'll are working it out though!! Just in time for brother to come along!! It is so funny that the giraffe got to take a bath too!!
